One of the key achievements acknowledged during the visit was the significant improvement in Adamawa State’s national ranking. Due to the Governor’s reforms, the state has advanced 11 places, reflecting substantial progress in several critical areas:
Physical Infrastructure: Governor Fintiri’s administration has invested heavily in upgrading the state’s infrastructure, including roads, public buildings, and utilities, creating a conducive environment for economic activities.
E-Governance: The state’s commitment to enhancing its digital presence has led to more accessible and user-friendly government websites, facilitating better communication and services for the people.
Investment Promotion: Strategic efforts to attract investment have borne fruit, with the state implementing policies that encourage both local and international businesses to invest in Adamawa.
Digital Transformation: The liberalization of broadband (Zero Right of Way) and other digital initiatives have boosted connectivity across the state, fostering innovation and enabling the delivery of public services more efficiently.
Land Use for Intensive Agriculture: Recognizing the importance of agriculture to the state’s economy, the administration has made strategic investments in land use policies that promote intensive farming, which is expected to significantly increase agricultural productivity.
The Managing Director of Galaxy Backbone noted that these reforms have not only enhanced governance but have also positioned Adamawa State as a model for other states to emulate in terms of digital governance and infrastructural development.
Governor Fintiri expressed his appreciation for the recognition and reiterated his administration’s commitment to continuing these reforms. He emphasized that the goal is to create a digitally inclusive state where technology drives growth, improves the quality of life for all residents, and ensures that Adamawa remains competitive in the national and global arena.
